Universe Research Lab -
a creative and ambitious research centre
Research should not only take place at the universities, but should also be aimed at practice and should be applied in our everyday lives.
This is the philosophy behind Universe Research Lab, a new research centre focused on learning, innovation, education and creativity, established by the Universe Foundation in the spring of 2007 with the objective of collecting, generating and communicating knowledge about learning processes, learning environments as well as creative and innovative environments.
Research and professional practice often work separately. This is why the research centre wants to make sure that research-based knowledge is transformed into professional practice and contributes to an understanding of the connections between learning and creativity, learning and well-being, theory and practice, formal and informal learning environments as well as between the educational sector and the business sector.
In cooperation with practitioners, the researchers at Universe Research Lab will get the opportunity of trying out the theories in practice and thereby obtain immediate responses from the users for the benefit of the research projects as such.
Professionally Universe Research Lab is associated with a highly influential international network of researchers and is funded by means from the Nordea Danmark Foundation and the Bitten and Mads Clausen Foundation. The project FUF - Teaching Facility of the Future - is supported by the Egmont Foundation and the Ministry of Education.
