Howard Gardner is Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has written more than 20 books translated into more than 24 languages in addition to hundreds of articles.

Howard Gardner is mainly known for his theory on multiple intelligences, also known as MI, which challenges former theories claiming that an individual only possesses one kind of intelligence. Gardner claims that there are 8 forms of intelligences – possibly more – and his research has broken new ground within the field of educational theory.

Svein Sjøberg is Professor of Natural Science Didactics at the University of Oslo and is affiliated with the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen.

Sjøberg is primarily doing research on natural science didactics and functions as special advisor to the EU, OECD and a number of European countries on the areas of learning and the natural sciences. The Norwegian Professor argues in favour of providing the natural science topics in the elementary school with higher priority.
